Though I knew Muhammed from medical school, I got to know him better when I started working at WGS as a newly qualified GP. The clinics were busy and hard work but the main thing that kept me coming back to WGS for five years was the ability to have a chit chat with Muhammed and his brother at lunch! How I miss those smoked salmon sandwiches and chocolate donuts. But, more importantly, i got a lot of wisdom and good advice from the brothers. Muhammed was a man of few words but his advice was good because it came filled with sincerity and knowledge masha Allah. He was always willing to help others, be it patients, colleagues or people in the community even though that may have caused him some difficulty. Though he only lived to his 40s, we can see he touched and helped many people judging by the comments here. And I am sure there are many good deeds that are only known to Allah and that we hope he will be rewarded for without limit. "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, who, when faced with a disaster, say, “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return. They are the ones who will receive Allah’s blessings and mercy. And it is they who are ˹rightly˺ guided." (2:155 - 157)
